JOB GOAL:

 

The role of the substitute teacher is to instruct students and facilitate their learning in the absence of the regular teacher.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Substitute teaching license from North Dakota Education Standards and Practices Board
  2. Interest in children and education
  3. Desire to assist students in a learning environment

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Provides classroom instruction to students as outlined in lesson plans.
  2. Creates a classroom that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of students.
  3. Maintains a safe and orderly environment.
  4. Maintains established routine of the school and classroom procedures in which assigned.
  5. Maintains a professional appearance.
  6. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
  7. Maintains reasonable rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility.
  8. Communicates effectively with parents when needed.
  9. Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and times designated.

 

REPORTS TO:

 

  1. Building Principal/Assistant Principal

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

 

This position constitutes an employee at will for the Stanley Community Public School District.
