JOB GOAL:

 

To provide a safe, clean environment for learning, which necessitates providing a link between jobs that are done in the environment every day to help ensure students’ ability to learn and thrive.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Experience working in a school is preferred, but not necessary.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Give timely attention to work orders.
  2. Comply with all regulatory mandates.
  3. Responsible for overall condition of building and grounds.
  4. Assignment of duties to other custodians or individuals employed by the school district.
  5. Approve overtime and keep record of overtime
  6. Order and maintain building supplies and maintenance of supply budget
  7. Dusts, sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums hallways, classrooms as needed, locker rooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, large group rooms, and office spaces.
  8. Cleans windows
  9. Empties trash and paper recycle containers.
  10. Cleans, scrubs, mops and re-stocks soap, paper, and sanitary products in the restrooms daily.
  11. Sanitizes restrooms and locker rooms weekly.
  12. Maintains building, performing minor and routine maintenance activities.
  13. Notifies the Building Administrator (or other direct supervisor) concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  14. Cleans snow and debris from entryways.
  15. General maintenance of grounds.
  16. Additional job duties may be specified in individual buildings.
  17. Help and supervise Work Study program
  18. Clean concession area after activities
  19. Responsible for setup, tear down and cleanup of activities and events during the school year.
  20. Responsible for cleanup of the cafeteria
  21. Responsible for maintaining the display cases
  22. Any additional duties as assigned by administration

  2. Building Principal
  3. Superintendent

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

 

This position constitutes an employee at will for the Stanley Public School.
