Agriculture Education Teacher
Job Description
JOB GOAL:
The agriculture education teacher provides quality standards-based instruction in the area of Agricultural Education, assesses and encourages student progress, and manages an effective learning environment to maximize student achievement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Agriculture Education
- Valid North Dakota Teaching License
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitates/coordinates a rigorous Agricultural Education curriculum with career-related instruction.
- Assesses and provides for differentiation to assure student progress while managing the learning environment.
- Prepare teaching plans, demonstration plans, and teaching materials for all classes.
- Prepare and evaluate teaching schedule, curriculum, and teaching calendars.
- Coordinate, maintain inventories, and keep record of the agriculture materials and equipment for classroom and shop area.
- Model enthusiasm for Agricultural Education and demonstrates current innovations in the agricultural industry, including competition within global economy.
- Sponsors/promotes co-curricular Future Farmers of America (FFA) experiences to students in the program for the purpose of leadership development, advanced technical skills attainment, workforce readiness preparation, and college career-readiness studies.
- Maintains professional development competence through on-going educational and professional development training, as required for certification.
- Engages, conducts, and documents meeting minutes of an active local school Agricultural Education Advisory Committee for the curriculum area’s career-related activities support.
- Maintains prompt and professional communication with parents.
- Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator.
- Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors, and students.

- Building Principal(s)
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position constitutes a certified position with the Stanley Community Public School District.
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- Base Salary: $41,750
- Extended Contract: Based on number of extended days
- Co-curricular Contract (FFA): Based on District's Extracurricular Policy
- Fringe Benefit: $10,876
- Personal Days: 3 per year
- Sick Days: 10 per year
